J. Burton LeBlanc
Founder of OilGasTech

J. Burton LeBlanc, a resident of Baton Rouge Louisiana who has been engaged in the oil exploration business for many years, is the founder of OilGasTech.

LeBlanc has worked with many leading geologists, some of national, and in fact, worldwide renown. He has concentrated on working with oil finders, who, because of their knowledge and skill make the process seem instinctive. At the same time he has personally dedicated himself to an intensive study of geology, both in its theoretical and practical applications.

LeBlanc's widespread experience in oil and gas exploration encompass managing his family's land holdings in the center of the St. Gabriel Field, a major Miocene field in Louisiana with fifty million barrels of cumulative production. He arranged for the drilling of extensions in the field by various companies, greatly expanding production.

Then, realizing that German seismologists, in their foray into Louisiana in 1923, had discovered a deep seated salt dome at Mallet's Bluff in East Baton Rouge Parish, he negotiated a lease with Ambassador Oil Company on the properties he had inherited and purchased. Alfred Hitchcock, Jimmy Stewart and Marlon Brando put up the money to drill the Ambassador - J. Burton LeBlanc No. 1, which turned out to be on the edge of the structure.

He then persuaded Dynamics Exploration to drill at the site he recommended and the Dynamics - J. Burton LeBlanc No. 1 brought in the Mallet's Bluff Field. He arranged for the drilling of the first Wilcox well in Pointe Coupee Parish, a pioneer move at the time. He was one of the first to become involved in exploration in the Tuscaloosa sand, which turned out to be prolific. His foresight has been remarkable.

The consultants to OilGasTech consist of some of the most knowledgeable and imaginative technicians available.

Coupled with these assets is the personal acquaintance that is maintained with a vast number of land and mineral owners in the prospective areas and of their desires and plans. This renders the process of acquiring leases on prospects much easier.
