The structures overlying salt domes in South Louisiana are nearly always composed of separate fault blocks that constitute effectively separate reservoirs. OilGasTech has geological studies delineating a number of these undrilled fault blocks and their identification and testing with the drill bit would be a secondary mission of the company.

Additionally, many of the wells drilled in South Louisiana in the early years, especially those drilled by major companies, targeted one horizon. It is now realized that many productive zones were bypassed. The data accumulated and available to OilGasTech contains many leads to this type of potentially profitable situations.

One factor aiding the success of these missions is the improvement in the state-of-the-art. Technical improvements within the ambit of exploration, such as three dimensional seismic readings, are important.
